Can Ashes Be Scattered Using Drones?

Deploying items from a drone, including ashes, requires formal approval from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Aerial Ashes obtained this authorization and maintains it by adhering to specific protocols, comprehensive record-keeping, and regular risk assessments. All Aerial Ashes crew members hold individual licenses and operate under the company's FAA-approved Operations Manual, ensuring compliance and safety.

What Is the Maximum Altitude for Drone Operations?

The FAA stipulates that drones must not exceed a maximum altitude of 400 feet above ground level. Additionally, drones must remain within the operator's visual line of sight and within approximately 1,640 feet (500 meters) of the operator at all times. In practice, drones are often flown much closer to ensure clarity and safety during operations.
